Soil-structure interaction response considering drift analysis due to three orthogonal components of near-field ground motions

چکیده

Soil-structure interaction analysis is one of the most challenging problems in field structural engineering. In this paper, two aspects less discussed literature, namely: (ⅰ) effect considering all three components near-field earthquake excitations instead just horizontal component, and (ⅱ) elimination part inter-story drifts caused by foundation rocking, have been investigated. Theoretical both phenomena considered, useful considerations proposed. To provide a more comprehensive description suggested modifications, seismic behavior 15-story steel moment-resisting frame building subjected to four has studied. that end, 3D nonlinear time-history was conducted using ABAQUS finite element software. The structure supported shallow raft on soft-clayey soil. results indicate mentioned points are prime importance should be considered soil-structure due evaluate responses accurately.
